The Honorary Chairman of Longines and the Chairman of the Longines Foundation, Walter von Känel, and the owner of the Gallery Metropole PLC, Silvia Schneider, opened ceremoniously the first Longines Boutique in Europe in December 2010.

It was a little gem that attracted the whole attention from the start. Numerous customers crowded into the shop already during the opening ceremony and it was Walter von Känel himself who sold the first Longines watch in the new boutique. This was the start of an extremely successful story between the Longines brand and the Gallery Metropole PLC.

A close relationship as well as an extraordinary relationship of trust developed with the entire Longines team, which is still being fostered respectfully today. Thanks to the mutual commitment, the boutique was able to develop into a leading business that can obviously be found in the middle of Interlaken.
